Job Description
Survey Instrument Operator I
Pay range - $15 and up, commensurate with experience.
- 0-3 years of experience (Entry Level)
- Associate's Degree or higher in Survey & Geomatics, Survey Technology, or other related surveying program preferred, Surveyor-In-Training (SIT) is preferred and encouraged, HS diploma or GED required.
- Have strong mathematical, analytical, and communication skills
- Must be willing to travel and flexible with changing schedules and workload demands
- Valid PA driver's license with acceptable driving record
- General understanding of AutoCAD, Civil 3D preferred
- Responsibilities will include
- Independently work as part of 2-man survey crew
- Maintain equipment
- Monitor and coordinate supply requests
- Obtain understanding of TCG Equipment and applicable uses
- Obtain understanding of survey point data collection and documentation
- Must maintain responsibility to Survey Crew Chief
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Must maintain responsibility for his/her actions
- Encouraged to:
- Maintain client interaction
- Pursue responsibilities listed under the Survey Instrument Operator II role
- Obtain general comprehension of construction drawings/specifications.
- Obtain general comprehension of drafting and field computations for surveys
