Job Title: Inside Sales Representative
Reports To: Sales Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt
Main Purpose of the Role:
Generate profitable business from a set group of customers across the U.S. Strengthen existing relationships, uncover new growth opportunities, and manage the full sales process from order entry to post-sale follow-up. This is a B2B role requiring strong communication skills, attention to detail, and comfort interacting with high-level contracts. The position is highly visible within the company and offers strong growth potential.
Main Tasks:
- Manage sales process with existing customers to maximize results.
- Perform administrative processing of customer orders.
- Coordinate deliveries based on project needs and material availability.
- Handle logistics for freight and importing/exporting documents.
- Build relationships with trucking companies for best rates.
- Maintain ongoing phone and email contact with customers.
- Identify and solve potential customer issues.
- Share sales material and follow best practices.
- Evaluate competition and compare products.
- Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities.
- Build account plans including forecasts and growth steps.
- Qualify customers' sales potential and plan activities.
Examples of Essential Duties:
- Spend significant time discussing with customers/prospects via phone.
- Expand and create relationships with clients.
- Support Outside Sales Territory Representative.
- Perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodation for disabilities.
Requirements:
- College degree in Business Management/Marketing preferred or at least one year of sales experience.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Office products.
- Excellent English skills (speaking, reading, writing).
- Ability to read and interpret documents and speak effectively with team members, vendors, clients, and prospects.
Reasoning Ability:
- Effectively deal with problems involving multiple variables in time-sensitive situations.
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Interpret extensive instructions.
Physical Demands:
- Frequently required to talk and hear.
- Frequently required to sit; occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands, and reach.
Work Environment:
- Majority of time spent in an office environment.
- Occasional time in production or warehouse environments with controlled exposure to dust and loud noise.
- Travel to job sites to understand construction and/or repair of courts.
