Job Description

The University of Findlay invites applications for a part-time instructor of prelaw in the Department of History, Law, and Gender Studies in the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. The department offers Bachelor of Arts degrees in history and prelaw, with minor programs in museum studies, gender studies, prelaw studies, and history.

The successful candidate will teach Introduction to Law and/or Moot Court during the Fall 2025 semester. There may be opportunities to teach jurisprudence, legal ethics, and international and comparative law courses in the future. The successful candidate will have a J.D. degree with experience in the practice of law. The preferred candidates also will have some university teaching experience.

The Pre-Law program at the University of Findlay has been very successful in placing students in law school and having them graduate and become successful attorneys. The part-time instructor will participate in encouraging students interested in the practice of law and helping them understand the variety and responsibilities of positions available to them.
