QualDerm Partners is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at our Charlotte, NC location. Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs and recording medical history.
- Assist medical professionals during examinations and procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments are readily available.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
- Coordinate patient appointments and manage office communications in an efficient manner.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and proper skincare practices.
- Ensure all examination rooms are clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role within a clinical environment.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and practices specific to dermatology.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and uphold patient confidentiality.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail in a high-paced environment.
- Basic proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and common office software.
