Responsibilities include providing psychotherapy services to adults and/or children, psychosocial and diagnostic assessments, completing treatment plans, and providing individual and group counseling.

Pay Range: $48,000 - $75,577.65 annual salary
Placement within the pay scale is commensurate with experience and qualifications
Dependently Licensed w/ BA: $48,000 - $58,511.73
Dependently Licensed w/ MA: $53,500 - $65,216.20
Independently Licensed: $62,000 - $75,577.65
POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The purpose of this position is to provide managed behavioral health care services in a culturally diverse community. The emphasis is on time-effective, time-intermittent psychotherapy and counseling with individuals, couples, families and groups. The position provides face-to-face screening, assessment, crisis intervention and referral services in response to requests for assistance with mental health issues.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Provide screening, assessment, crisis intervention and referral services in response to telephone requests for aid; make assessment of clients' problems; provide information about community resources, refer clients to most appropriate resource.
- Gather information through intake interviews; evaluate nature and degree of mental/emotional distress, substance use/abuse, health issues, and social/interpersonal problems; develop individual service plans with clients.
- Conduct short and long-term therapy and/or counseling sessions with individuals, couples, families and groups using various psychotherapeutic treatment modalities.
- Coordinate treatment with other agencies, services and other programs within the agency.
- Complete case notes on intake process, treatment plan and client's progress in accordance with OI/OA guidelines.
- Provide consultation and education service to community groups by assisting in program planning, giving educational talks and lectures, and by consulting on specific cases.
- Maintain required productivity expectation.
- Participate in clinical supervision and administrative meetings as required by the Clinical Services Coordinator and/supervisor.
- React to change and stress productively and handle other tasks as assigned.
- Maintain regular, predictable attendance and be available for evening counseling sessions.

- If bi-lingual you are expected to provide translation and interpretive service to client needing these services

Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- In order to perform the essential functions of this job, after an orientation period, the employee must possess the following: a working knowledge of Riveon Mental Health and Recovery Policy and Procedures, including sensitivity and adherence to clients' rights, confidentiality, and health and safety issues.
- Must exhibit sensitivity to different cultures.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- All time is spent in an office environment and involves substantial client contact.
- The individual must be able to speak and communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.
- Due to the amount of paperwork that is required, the individual must have excellent documentation skills.
- The employee may be required to sit for extended periods and will spend a portion of their time on the telephone.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, walk, and lift and push minimal loads at various times.
- A considerable amount of time may also be spent working on a computer so the employee should have close vision ability.
- In addition, the individual must be able to operate basic office equipment.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
- A master's degree in a mental health related field with the following license is required: LSW or LPC. LISW or LPCC preferred.
- Experience in assessment, crisis intervention, conducting long and short-term therapy and counseling or other experience in the treatment of mental health/chemical abuse are preferred.
- Must have strong oral and written skills.
- Basic computer skills required, including familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office.
- Must be highly skilled at behavioral health screening/assessment and counseling in both chemical abuse and mental illness, making appropriate referral, and working effectively under pressure.
- Must have favorable references and/or evaluations.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish speaking) major plus.
- Experience with EMR (electronic medical records) a plus.
