Job Description

  • Separates recycle/household hazardous waste materials.
  • Receives, identifies, and stores bulk/package and materials and prepares materials for shipment, and assists in the collections and disposal of BOLPA (Battery, Oil, Latex Paint, and Antifreeze) materials.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions.
  • General working knowledge of and ability to operate required equipment.
  • Ability to drive a forklift and box truck.
  • Valid Texas Driver License.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Duties require climbing, use of hands and/or fingers to grasp, handle, pick-up (up to or over 100 lbs.), pinch, print or feel; frequent standing, walking, talking, listening, reaching with hands and arms; close vision, distance vision, ability to distinguish color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed with other employees and serving the public. Worker is subject to physical hazards from traffic at the facility, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic chemicals, odors or outdoor conditions. Noise level is moderate to loud. Clothing may be soiled in the process of performing the duties of the job.

SALARY: Part-Time, $15.00 per hour, maximum 28 hours per week as needed, Monday-Saturday
