Job Description
Are you a hands-on problem-solver who takes pride in maintaining beautiful, welcoming spaces? The Inn at Canaan is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Maintenance and Landscaping Technician to join our team in the heart of Canaan Valley. This role is vital to ensuring our guests experience the comfort, safety, and natural beauty that make our inn a peaceful mountain retreat.
What You'll Do:

Perform routine maintenance and repairs in guest rooms and public areas to ensure safety and comfort

Respond to maintenance requests from guests and staff in a timely and professional manner

Assist with upkeep of outdoor areas including:

Lawn and garden maintenance

Sidewalk snow removal and salting
-
Parking lot and exterior clean-up
-

Complete preventative maintenance tasks in guest rooms and common areas

Replace light fixtures, faucets, and other small components as needed

Maintain dumpster and trash areas to ensure cleanliness and safety

Document all work performed using a provided daily checklist
What We’re Looking For:

High school diploma or equivalent, or relevant hands-on experience

Ability to read and follow safety and maintenance instructions

Basic math skills for practical measurements and planning

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
-
Physically able to lift, bend, kneel, stand for extended periods, and climb stairs
-
A positive attitude and willingness to work outdoors in all seasons
