Job Description

Summit Medical Group is recruiting for a Director of Quality & Clinical Informatics.

Examples of Duties (List does not include all duties assigned)

  • Establish quality, population health, and PCMH activity goals and objectives and ensure that targets are achieved.
  • Identify department standards and establish clearly defined methods for staff to apply, defining procedures in conjunction with operating staff.
  • Establish and maintain controls and documentation procedures.
  • Identify relevant quality-related training needs and deliver training.
  • Collates and analyzes performance data and harts against defined parameters.
  • Build Supervise staff in carrying out review and audit processes.
  • Bring together staff of different disciplines and drive the group to plan, formulate comprehensive quality, population health and infection prevention procedures.
  • Persuade reluctant staff to adapt their way of working to incorporate improvement ideas.

  • Prepare audit summaries for review by committees, CEO, and others as requested.
  • Review audit findings and corrective action plans with clinical staff including clinicians.

  • Coordinate and provide ongoing staff training including required annual trainings, corrective action plans and policy revisions.
  • Assist the Quality Committee in the compilation of data for quality measures, recognition and performance monitoring, maintains log of outcome reports, and designs and delivers improvement plans as necessa

  • Review annual Quality score audits for VBC contracted arrangements; responsible for submission of disputes when needed.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years or more clinical experience in a primary care clinic, medical clinic, or hospital.
  • Minimum of 5 years of primary care or hospitality quality measure management experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years clinical documentation improvement and/or data validation.
  • Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory healthcare role.

Certification/License

  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification preferred
  • PCMH Certified Content Expert preferred

Education

Minimum of bachelor's degree in healthcare with active clinical license, or license eligibility in the state of Tennessee, or greater than 5 years' experience in a related position.
