Summary:
The Supply Chain Optimization & Project Lead is responsible for implementing and driving strategic supply chain initiatives, ensuring efficiency, cost optimization, and operational excellence across LSPI’s logistics network. This role bridges strategy and execution, working cross-functionally to roll out improvements and ensuring supply chain resilience while managing key projects that align with business objectives. The role requires a strong blend of analytical expertise, leadership, and execution capability, ensuring LSPI remains competitive and efficient in a dynamic market.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Implementation & Process Optimization:
- Support the rollout of supply chain optimization strategies, collaborating with senior leadership and internal teams.
- Leverage market intelligence and analytics to develop optimization strategies across all logistics modes and supply chain channels.
- Assist in developing high-level strategic plans and convert into actionable projects, ensuring seamless execution and measurable results.
- Identify and implement best practices in global supply chain management, focusing on operational efficiency and reliability.
- Monitor market trends and collaborate with stakeholders to integrate data-driven improvements into LSPI’s supply chain operations. ï·
- Ensure alignment between logistics operations and broader business strategies, collaborating cross-functionally to drive impact.
Project Management & Execution:
- Lead supply chain improvement projects, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timelines.
- Oversee project timelines, stakeholder engagement, and resource allocation, balancing strategic vision with execution discipline.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement models, optimizing workflows, reducing inefficiencies, and driving innovation.
- Manage cross-functional collaboration between internal teams to ensure successful project integration of new processes and technologies into existing workflows.
- Develop and track performance metrics to evaluate project success and ensure continuous improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Change Management:
- Act as a strategic consultant, advising senior leadership and organization on market trends, supply chain risks, and optimization opportunities.
- Partner with teams across marketing, operations, and leadership to ensure effective strategy execution and adoption.
- Support change management initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions in supply chain processes and technologies.
- Develop and communicate high-impact reports, dashboards, and presentations that provide actionable insights to executives and key stakeholders.
- Act as a liaison between operational teams and executive leadership, ensuring alignment on supply chain priorities.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills and strong presentation skills.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Project Management skills
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum seven years’ relevant experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, engineering, finance, business, or related analytical field.
- 8+ years of experience in Distribution Network Analysis, Manufacturing, Network, and market analysis with a focus on the trucking, rail, and export industries.
