Major Responsibilities:
- Adhere to Alkegen's safety standards in all work settings (office, laboratory and plant)
- Work directly with engineering mentor to execute assigned capital projects
- Support plant-scale production trials
- Communicate effectively (maintain auditable lab records, report data accurately)
- Minor travel (including local plants to support development activities at production-scale)
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- Pursuing a degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, paper engineering, industrial engineering, or a closely related program
- Completed mathematics through pre-calculus
- A course in statistics at high school, or preferably at the college level, is highly desirable.
- 1 year college-level chemistry including laboratory
- Experience with rudimentary lab practices such as accurate weighing, handling strong acids and bases, and titration is highly desirable
- 1 year of organic chemistry is preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs, proficiency with Excel formulas
Pay: $23/hr
