Job Description
As a Customer Service Representative at GetixHealth, you will be responsible for ensuring that healthcare accounts are billed and paid both accurately and timely, based on client needs. You will handle a high volume of calls, addressing patient inquiries related to billing, payments, claims, benefits, and coverage. You will perform these duties in alignment with applicable laws, regulations, and GetixHealth’s policies and procedures, while providing exceptional service.
POSITION SUMMARY: Hospital-Based (Hybrid option after 90 days)

After 90 days of excellent performance, eligible to transition to a hybrid schedule.

Hybrid work requires on-site coverage at the hospital if a colleague calls out.

Passing an Internet Speed Test is required prior to hybrid eligibility.

Shift Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST, with extended hours on Tuesdays from 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM EST.

Compensation: $23/hour, plus eligibility for quarterly bonuses.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain consistent work activity in line with established standards, ensuring timely certification for eligibility programs.
- Retrieve, review, and forward requested records—including medical records, insurance policies, remittance advices, and itemized statements—to appropriate parties.
- Analyze, distribute, and follow up on special requests and adjustments in collaboration with hospital personnel.
- Process electronic payments, settle accounts, and set up payment arrangements on behalf of the facility.
- Accurately prepare UB04 claim forms and maintain detailed records of patient encounters.
- Maintain proactive communication with patients or their representatives throughout the eligibility process, keeping them informed of account status.
- Screen patients to assess eligibility for third-party resources and guide them through application and verification requirements.
- Effectively communicate with physicians, case managers, social workers, and hospital business office staff to resolve questions and address issues promptly.
- Educate patients and their representatives on eligibility criteria, application processes, and program requirements.
- Maintain professional relationships with patients and government agencies to ensure cooperation and compliance.
- Document all relevant patient information and work activities in accordance with company policies and systems.
- Ensure all accounts are processed following Eligibility Program standards, client expectations, and applicable federal and state regulations.
- Comply with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations related to job duties.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management or requested by the facility.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate or equivalent in relevant work experience desired.
- Previous healthcare coverage/eligibility experience preferred.
- Proficient personal computer skills including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
- Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team fostered environment.
- Ability to work in a multi-tasked environment.
- Ability to prioritize and organize work.
- Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule.
