Job Description

About the Role

As a Payment Operations Specialist at BillGO, you'll play a key role in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our payment platform while supporting customer growth and retention. This role blends investigative work, operational oversight, and customer-focused strategy. You'll help ensure payments are routed accurately, compliance standards are met, and billers have a seamless experience using our platform. Whether you're reviewing transactional data, supporting automation efforts, or spotting opportunities to improve biller satisfaction and volume, you'll be a critical part of a mission-driven team focused on trust, accuracy, and scale.

What You'll Do

  • Review enrollment records, transactions, and account changes to ensure accuracy and compliance

  • Conduct research to validate business legitimacy and support operational decisions

  • Investigate and escalate anomalies, edge cases, or complex payment issues

  • Collaborate with internal teams to support automation and process enhancements

  • Work through Internal Payment Routing opportunities to maximize revenue

  • Provide insights and support to drive customer satisfaction, retention, and growth

  • Identify trends and opportunities to increase biller volume and platform engagement

  • Ensure clear documentation and communication across systems and teams to support continuity and compliance

  • Contribute to a positive, detail-oriented team culture focused on accuracy, trust, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

  • Exceptional attention to detail - nothing gets past you

  • Clear, professional written communication and documentation skills

  • Ability to manage multiple systems, tabs, and sources at once

  • Experience in compliance, financial operations, research, or data entry

  • A positive, focused work ethic and strong sense of accountability

  • Knowledge of BSA/AML or OFAC is preferred
