POSITION SUMMARY

Performs Accounts Payable reporting and data analysis to support both corporate wide and departmental operational and compliance needs. Proactively identifies opportunities to improve processes and provide optimal support for stakeholders. Supports annual 1099 and 1042 Internal Revenue Service (IRS) reporting and compliance efforts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports 1099 and 042 IRS reporting include data validation and testing.

  • Creates, generates, maintains, and publishes reports to support operational needs and SOX compliance efforts.

  • Responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, consistent, valuable, and insightful reporting to support decision-making processes and compliance requirements.

  • Responsible for reoccurring report and data analysis.

  • Independently analyzes data sets and is able to identify thematic or recurring issues and determine likely steps toward resolution.

  • Participates in special projects and serves as a knowledgeable resource related to assigned accounts payable processes.

  • Identifies efficiencies and recommends ways to improve processes and standards.

  • Ensures the integrity of financial transactions with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Supports accounting processes by addressing and assisting with fulfilling business requirements, process, or system enhancements, and/or accounting standards.

  • Ensure standard business processes are followed within specific accounting functions.

  • Ensures successful completion of internal and external audits.

  • Ensures proper execution of controls and performance, documentation, and retention in accordance with accounting policy.

  • Displays ability to utilize systems/tools, which may include, but not limited to, Excel, SAP, Right Angle, BW, Quorum, Power BI, etc.

  • May serve as a resource to less experienced accountants. May train or review the work of others.

  • May document, update, and maintain internal procedures or work on special projects.

  • May assist in preparation of analysis and schedules in support of financial statements and related disclosures.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required. Accounting preferred.

  • Minimum 2 years accounting/finance experience.

  • AP experience preferred.

  • SAP experience preferred.

  • PowerBI experience preferred.

  • Industry experience strongly preferred
