About The Opportunity
The Apstar Assistant is responsible for providing assistance to the operator with setting up, running, inspecting and maintaining the machine. The person in this position is expected to learn the next highest job in the line of progression and step-up as needed.
Essential Functions:
Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures
Maintain high efficiency according to established rates during operation of the assigned equipment
Complete required quality inspections per customer specifications and paperwork - quality is the responsibility of all employees
Work with peers to improve quality and performance
Provide an active role in the housekeeping of the assigned area
Understand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirements
Feed printed, labeled or plain corrugated sheets into the machine
Assist operator with machine set up
Perform minor repairs to cutting boards
Ensure the necessary tooling and/or supplies, including ink, is at machine center for set up
Complete color checks using Color Sentry
Input production numbers into BVP Scan WIP tags and/or load tags
Perform quality process control data input & log
Make units the required dimensions and adequately protect products
Identify each unit with proper count and order number, and put load tag on each unit
Perform routine maintenance duties, which includes the rotation of anvils
Repair or assist maintenance in the repair of machine as necessary
Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors

Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business
Ability to work on a rotating shift as needed

Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people
Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles
