Job Summary:

Provides curricular and evaluation and assessment support for clinical experiences in the medical students third and fourth years to ensure that the learning objectives for every student in the region are met during clinical education experiences. As a representative for academic and student affairs in the region, is responsible for meeting with students as needed and making appropriate referrals for additional personal and or academic support. Workswith clinical faculty and the administration of the regional campus to facilitate this educational imperative.

Job Duties:

  • Work closely with the administration and faculty to ensure that a quality curriculum is delivered, ensuring that clinical experiences meet departmental and medical school learning objectives for each student to develop individual competencies.
  • Produce and coordinate individual student's schedules in conjunction with the Regional Campus Managers Coordinate activities and work with other departments to provide services as needed or requested by students or faculty.
  • Provide as-needed, regionally based pedagogical faculty development activities to support the development of the regional clinical faculty (all disciplines) working closely with the regional administration.
  • Assists students with difficulties in their clinical experiences.
  • Support the Education Directors with the periodic review of the goals and objectives for the clerkships and complete appropriate forms and data entry to ensure detailed curriculum mapping of academic years three and four of the program curriculum.
  • Produce the materials that support the curriculum, including preparation for didactics, readings, conferences, podcasts, webinars, student learning management system based materials etc.
  • Conduct assessment and evaluation activities.
  • Review portfolio development throughout the third year experience especially with regard to completion of competencies with the Regional Education Coordinators.
