Who we are seeking for this role:
The ideal candidate will develop small business relationships focusing on loans, deposits and cross selling other company products and services. Loan production will emphasize SBA loans. Responsible for managing small business loan portfolio including delinquency, portfolio risk rating and ensuring no deterioration in portfolio quality.

Key Result Areas
- Generate sound and profitable commercial loans with emphasis on C&I loans most typically in the $2MM - $12MM range.
- Generate cross sell opportunities and make qualified referrals across Bank business lines.
- Generate profitable deposit account relationships including Cash Management products.
- Generate fee income.
- Proactively manage assigned loan portfolio with a focus on risk management as well as business development.

Scope of Job
Generate and manage commercial loan and deposit relationships within loan policy guidelines with an emphasis on C&I loan production. Position also includes portfolio management and intra-bank referral responsibilities.
Essential Functions - may include, but are not limited to:
- Employee is required to attend work.
- Ensure company service standards are continually achieved in all areas of responsibility.
- Provide and ensure accurate and detailed documentation of loans.
- Develop and manage commercial loans within loan policy guidelines.
- Develop new deposit relationships and cross sell other company products and services.
- Proactively manage existing loan portfolio toward further developing existing customer relationships.
- Collect and analyze financial documents, appraisals, environmental reports and other documentation for new loan requests in order to evaluate creditworthiness of prospective borrowers.
- Establish and recommend terms under which credit will be extended, including interest rate, fee(s), repayment structure and collateral requirements.
- Review loan agreements and documentation prior to loan closing.
- Generate qualified referrals across Bank lines including Retail Banking, Cash Management, Residential Lending, and Ion Investments.
- Ensure activities within assigned functional area of responsibility are in compliance with Bank policy, and State and Federal Regulations.
- Participate on Boards and in banking and civic organizations to promote the Bank's image and visibility within the Community.
Other Functions
- Coordinate business calling program with branches for loan, deposit, and other company products and services.
- Prepare written and oral loan presentation for approvals of loans.
- Participate in the development of new and existing business relationships.
- Work with other departments and Branches to promote a variety of Bank products and services.
- Review and verify thoroughness and accuracy of all new and existing loan write-ups.
- Make customer calls for new business generation, financial statement collection, information, etc.
- Attend seminars and meetings to keep abreast of lending issues.
- Develop and promote new business programs
- Undertake special projects relating to Department needs.
- Proactively review all required loan documentation prior to loan closings.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred, plus 7-10+ years commercial lending, or some comparable combination of education and experience. SBA Lending experience desirable.
