Job Description

Position Overview: The Production Engineer I is responsible for providing outstanding solutions and support in the manufacturing process of control valves. In this position, you will be the technical go to person for the production and manufacturing teams, responsible for quickly solving issues and providing new ideas for better production methods.

In this position, you will be the technical go to person for the production and manufacturing teams, responsible for quickly solving issues and providing new ideas for better production methods.
Key Responsibilities:
- In all actions support Aquestia’s quality policies, safety policies and core company values of Fairness, Honesty, and Integrity.
- Analyzing production team needs, providing guidance and problem resolution.
- Preparation of test procedures and O&M manuals.
- Review of technical documentation.
- Providing troubleshooting for product testing.
- Answering post-sale technical support questions.
- Collaborating with division managers to implement process upgrades.
- Shadowing senior team members during audits with UL, NSF, and FM, as well as gaining exposure to the various agencies.
- Other tasks as needed by the team.
Qualifications:
- Education: bachelor’s degree (four-year college or technical school) or Work Equivalent, Field of Study: Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related discipline.
- Experience: 1-5 years in Manufacturing or related position. Experience with Air Valves or Hydraulic Control Valves- advantage.
- Computer Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Visio & Office Products. Experience with SolidWorks – advantage.
- Experience with Technical Troubleshooting – advantage.
- Experience/education with hydraulics – advantage.
- Ability to follow instructions and perform tasks as instructed.
- Ability to think analyze problems and search for information and solutions.
- Detailed and effective at accurately documenting specifications.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at one time, balancing every day production needs with larger systemic upgrades.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Patient and capable of working under pressure.
- Building intercompany relations to better serve the production and manufacturing teams.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
- Noise levels ranging from quiet to extremely loud.
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the manufacturing floor including, but not limited to, eye, ear, and foot protection.
- May occasionally lift and /or move up to 10-50 pounds.
