Lumber Warehouse Receiving Clerk - 1St Shift

We are looking for a Receiving Clerk for our Dallas, TX warehouse.

Shift: 1st, 6am - 2:30pm M-F

Pay: $17.50 hr.

What to expect:

• Follows company's S.O.P for carriers.
• Inspects, identifies and count inbound deliveries as well as receives PO's into company system in a timely and effective manner.
• Schedule of materials, adjust timeline to fit the needs of the business and incoming deliveries.
• Photographs trucks and freight upon arrival and upload documentation into company system.
• Maintains company dashboard on arrival and status of incoming deliveries.
• Prints tallies and communicates with Receiving team to stock incoming product.
• Files all necessary paperwork per company guidelines in an accurate and efficient method.
• Communicates any discrepancies, product issues or safety issues with Supervisor.
• Prepares following days trucks by proactively printing all necessary documents to create an efficient workflow.
• May assist with offloading trucks and receiving in material.
• Use of proper PPE and company approved tools while remaining aware of possible hazards and maintaining a safe work

Basic Qualifications:

• Effectively perform all essential functions, including physical requirements.
• Basic math, interpersonal/team and reasoning skills.
• Ability to read, understand and carry out written procedures and standard work instructions.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Flexibility in scheduling - able to work overtime as needed.

Bonus Points:

• Prior experience in distribution or manufacturing environment, specifically in receiving.
• Basic computer skills
• High School Diploma or GED

Physical Requirements:

• Able to withstand exposure to seasonal weather elements and wood dust.
• 100% stand or sit, handle or feel, squeeze or grasp.
• 80%: Reaching with hands and arms, depth perception.
• 50%: Walk, repetitive motion, operate moving equipment.
• 10%: Working bent at waist, stoop, kneel, crouch, bending or twisting.
• Lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
• Lift, push or pull 75-100 lbs. with assistance.

Little to no travel.
