Job Description:
The enrollment coordinator position will plays a vital role in the processing of student applications for
admission to LSU Eunice. The individual will handle data input, transcript evaluations, student inquiries,
and customer service questions. In addition, the individual will collect the necessary documentation and input the data in the Enrollment Manager and other VA portals to assist the student in obtaining their VA benefits. The employee will be responsible for maintaining records and adhering to university, state, and federal guidelines, policies, and procedures.

- Assists the Transfer Evaluator Coordinator with TES (Transfer Evaluation System) and transferrable duties. Request Rulings for courses that are not currently in the transfer tables of other colleges and institutions from applicable chairs.
- Assists in the research and analyzing of course descriptions and transfer of credit policies to determine transfer of credit eligibility and perform data entry
- Keeps up to date with the U.S. Department of Education and Louisiana Board of Regens and their initiatives, policies and procedures.
- Answers the telephone and responds to email inquiries, prints and mails documents, maintains filing, creates, or updates documents.
- Maintain confidentiality of work-related information and materials.
- Understanding of and ability to apply FERPA ( Family Educational Right to Privacy Act).
- Assists the Registrar with other duties as requested.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, records maintenance, and reporting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple time-sensitive tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive student information.
- Ability to work independently to complete assignments as well as part of collaborative team.

- Supports Veteran Benefits in monitoring VA education records, including degree/major, registration, schedules, and tuition changes, to ensure timely certification and continued student eligibility.
- Implements federal and state veterans' education benefit programs, ensuring compliance and preventing financial or legal liabilities for students of the university.
- Maintains accurate, audit-ready records in compliance with VA, federal, state, and university regulations, completing ongoing VA-mandated training.
- Represents VA Education Benefits and Enrollment Management in campus and community meetings, staying current on VA regulations and applying updates to certification processes.
- Offers exceptional customer service, addressing complex questions and guiding students through benefit-related procedures with empathy and accuracy.
- Supports the Military & Veteran Success (MVS) office in promoting a veteran-friendly space that foster peer engagement community and academic success.
Minimum Qualifications:
1 year as an administrative assistant or clerical position
Preferred Qualifications:
Associates Degree
3 years as an administrative assistant or clerical position.
