SUMMARY OF JOB: The Assistant General Manager provides administrative support to the General Manager by providing operational support and maintaining a conducive work environment. To accomplish these tasks, the AGM works closely with Owners, General Manager, Managers, Assistant Managers, Sales Associates, Home Office Personnel and customers.

REPORTS TO: General Manager (GM)

CLASSIFICATION: Corporate

WAGE: Salary Exempt

SUPERVISES: Store Managers and their subordinates

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist The GM in all assigned operational duties. Duties are, but not limited to:
• Quarterly inspecting of locations
• Working in all subordinate positions when needed.
• Aid in the training and development of new hires/ employees.
• Assist with disciplinary actions.
• Available by phone 24 hrs. / 7 days
• Maintain high performance standards
• Properly care for assigned equipment
• Hard work ethic
• Conflict resolution
• Customer service coordination with vendors, customers, staff, and guests.
• Unbiased critiquing of locations and subordinates
• High level of confidentiality with personnel issues
• Maintain proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Stand in for GM during GM absence

DAILY DUTIES:

• Sending daily correspondence via text, email, intraoffice mail, etc.
• Monitor local fuel prices
• Maintain operation spreadsheets
• Monitor product pricing
• Assist in transporting goods.
• Other duties as assigned by the General Manager.

Requirements

• Requires prolonged standing.
• Clean driving record
• Requires physical exertion to manually move, lift at least 50 lbs., carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials.
• Stooping, bending, reaching and climbing ladders or step stools.
• Requires travel.

Salary Description

$40k+ per year based on experience
