About the Role
Ontra is seeking an Account Executive, Investment Banking to join its growing Sales team.
For this job, we are currently only hiring candidates based in the United States, with a preference for candidates in the New York City Metropolitan area.
We're looking for someone excited to cultivate strong relationships with new investment bank customers, enhance and expand on existing investment bank customer accounts, and strategically drive revenue growth.
This is a great opportunity for an ambitious, extroverted closer who is adept at building and nurturing strong relationships with clients, is always on the hunt to expand business, and is ready to adapt to new strategies and initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Prospecting and Lead Qualification: Engage in intensive prospecting activities and qualify leads to build a robust sales pipeline.
- Sales Process Management: Competently manage the sales process from initial discovery stages to closing, ensuring all steps are strategically executed.
- Transaction Closure: Efficiently close transactional sell-side M&A processes, leveraging investment banking relationships to facilitate swift deals.
- Account Acquisition and Growth: Focus on driving revenue growth through new investment bank accounts and existing relationships.
- Strategic Planning and Execution: Collaborate with team members and managers to strategize and effectively execute sales calls, customer events, and educational sessions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing and Customer Success teams to support go-to-market initiatives for investment banks.
What You'll Bring
- Experience: 1+ years of sales experience as a top-performing closer or SDR (with 3+ years of combined professional experience); preference given to experience working within or selling to investment banks.
- Infectious Enthusiasm: Genuine passion for the role and a resilient, positive attitude that inspires confidence in our customers and our team.
- Intellectual Curiosity: Innate drive that pushes you to ask sharp questions, listen actively to understand the root of a problem, and deftly connect a client's needs to the right solution.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effectively engaging with clients and stakeholders.
- Industry Knowledge: Not required, but preference given to candidates with an understanding of the investment banking industry, including key players and market trends.
Compensation
This role offers a competitive On-Target Earnings (OTE) compensation plan structured with a 50/50 split between base pay and commission.
