Job Description
The Renaissance Minneapolis Hotel, The Depot is searching for a motivated and enthusiastic on property Accounting Clerk. This position is responsible for assisting Property Accountant and Executive Team to achieve customer satisfaction and operational goals. Key duties and responsibilities include:
- Follows all accounting standard operating procedures to ensure accuracy of accounts receivable, assist with the direct billing process, follow up and collection.
- Responsible for accuracy of contents of safe and issued banks, cash handling, and bank deposits.
- Responsible for daily activities such as preparing reports and tip tracking.
- Assists Property Accountant and Executive Team with other projects as assigned.
- Responsible for proper use of all equipment and supplies and adheres to cost controls to reduce expenses and waste.
- Anticipates and responds to guests, and fellow associates' requests in a friendly, positive and timely manner.
- Works as a team player in meeting guests needs, and actively contributes and backs up other departments as necessary. Understands and follows CSM guest service recovery program.
- Maintains a clean and safe work area in compliance with CSM, brand, local, state, and federal regulations.
- Follows all CSM procedures for guest/associate incidents.
- Knowledgeable of hotel emergency procedures.
- Produces required volume of work by planning, organizing and prioritizing work duties.
- Adheres to CSM attendance policy, grooming/appearance standards, general work rules, and department procedures. Attends all required department and hotel meetings.
Competencies/Skills Required: Excellent computer knowledge needed. Attention to detail, customer focused and the ability to perform job duties in fast paced environment. FSPMS experience is helpful.
Education: High School diploma or GED required. Two-year accounting degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Physical Requirements: Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 20 pounds on occasional basis.
