Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounting Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate is responsible for overseeing the daily work of the accounting team and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This role requires a detailed oriented professional with strong problem-solving skills and a thorough understanding of accounting principles and regulations.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports for management
  • Assist with grant claims and reconciliation
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Oversee daily operations of the accounting department
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations
  • Support management with financial decision-making
  • Monitor and enforce internal financial controls
  • 10-15% occasional travel to assist in conducting inventory reconciliation
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and manage audits as needed.

Requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, CPA preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in accounting
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP.
  • Work experience with accounting software like NetSuite
  • Advance proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis
  • Extremely professional attitude and excellent analytical skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
