A+Derr Heating & Cooling has proudly served the Tri-state area for nearly 50 years. We believe in standing behind our work and back this up with a 100% satisfaction guarantee for our customers! We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our finance team.
In this role, you will play a vital part in providing comprehensive accounting and administrative support for daily financial operations, maintain and monitor customer receivables, and deliver back-office support for our Indiana/Kentucky Region. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in diverse accounting areas while contributing to meaningful projects within a collaborative environment.
Duties
- Review and audit invoices to verify accuracy, completeness, correct pricing, proper documentation, and compliance with company standards.
- Monitor, investigate, and resolve discrepancies related to invoices, payments, and account balances.
- Engage with customers holding past-due accounts to facilitate collections and establish mutually agreeable payment arrangements when necessary.
- Process and administer customer rebates associated with equipment incentive programs.
- Manage customer warranty documentation and prepare complete registration packets.
- Perform a variety of administrative and accounting support duties to ensure departmental accuracy, efficiency, and continuity.
Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1–2 years of administrative accounting experience preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience with Sage Intacct or comparable accounting software preferred.
- ServiceTitan experience preferred, but not required.
- 3–5 years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated attention to detail, analytical capability, and effective time-management skills.
