Job Description
Summary
The Accounting Team Lead will play a key role in overseeing and managing certain accounting operations of the company, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, managing the payroll reporting process, and leading the Accounts Payable (AP) function. This position is responsible for financial consolidation, budgeting, and internal reporting, while also managing internal systems like SharePoint and servers to streamline and improve financial workflows. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Consolidation: Lead and oversee the consolidation of financial statements for multiple entities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
· Internal Financial Reporting: Prepare and deliver internal financial reports to senior management, offering insights and recommendations on financial performance.
· Payroll Reporting: Manage the payroll reporting process, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and maintaining confidentiality.
· SharePoint and Server Management: Oversee the management and maintenance of SharePoint and financial server systems to ensure data integrity and secure access for relevant stakeholders.
· Internal Budgeting: Develop and manage the internal budgeting process, working closely with department heads to establish realistic financial targets and monitor ongoing performance.
· Management of AP Accountant & AP Function: Supervise the Accounts Payable Accountant and oversee the AP function, ensuring timely payment processing and maintaining vendor relationships.
· Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and implement best practices in accounting and reporting functions.
· Other Duties as Assigned: Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as required to support the overall financial and operational objectives of the company.
Requirements
Desired Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on financial consolidation, reporting, and budgeting.
- Familiarity with SharePoint and financial server systems.
- Proven leadership and team management experience, with a track record of managing accounting staff and functions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience in managing accounting systems and software.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for payroll and financial reporting.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
