Job Description
HALCON Furniture, located in Stewartville, MN, manufactures award-winning, contemporary office furniture of the highest quality. We are currently seeking an Accounts Receivable/Payable Clerk to join our growing company reporting to the Controller. The ideal candidate will embrace the opportunity to contribute to the Finance Department and bring a positive attitude and strong organizational skills to a dedicated, fast-paced team.
Essential Duties:

Essential Duties:
- Process and send invoices to customers in accordance with established company procedures.
- Process and enter invoices from suppliers in accordance with established company procedures.
- Verify acknowledgment and sales tax accuracy prior to sending deposit invoice requests and invoices upon shipment to customers.
- Maintain and update the Company’s customer sales tax exemption database.
- Maintain and update the Company’s customer and supplier databases.
- Accurately record daily cash receipt transactions.
- Assist with following up on open accounts receivable.
- Assist from time to time with other finance-related projects and activities.
- Superior attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Good customer service skills with ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers both orally and in writing.
- Strong math aptitude with analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Dependability in timeliness, attendance and following instructions.
- Two years of directly applicable experience in accounting or related field.
