Job Description
Cassia, a nonprofit, senior living organization,is hiring an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our growing team! Based at our Edina, MN corporate office, you will enjoy a welcoming environment with supportive leadership and a friendly team who are dedicated to the well-being of our residents. In this vital role, you'll focus on billing for Medicare A, Managed Care, and Medicaid. Our ideal candidate will have prior experience in both healthcare and Medical Assistance billing. The Accounts ReceivableSpecialist reports to the Director of Reimbursement.Position Type: Full-Time, with the potential to work remotely with a hybrid schedule after training is completed. Pay Range: $45,000 to $60,000 / year depending on experience.Location: 7171 Ohms Lane, Edina, MN 55439Accounts Receivable Specialist Responsibilities:
- Complete Care Center and Assisted Living billing.
- Post cash and ancillaries to accounts accurately and timely.
- Generate private pay statements.
- Generate claims and submit them timely and accurately to all the payers responsible for.
- Perform all collection for payers assigned to ensure timely payments.
- Manage days outstanding for all facilities assigned to meet organization’s requirements.
- Determine if there are billing issues causing payment delays and correct them.
- Perform all closing functions timely and accurately.
- Understand and is accomplished in using the following systems: DDE, MN-ITS, Excel, Third Party payer websites.
- Meet deadlines as assigned by manager.
- Participate in internal committees and meetings.
- Participate in staff training programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must have 1+ years of healthcare billing experience.
- Must have Medicare A, Managed Care, Medicaid billing experience.
- Great attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
