The RoleAs the Accounts Receivable Specialist you will prepare records, verify, and post customer payments. This is a part-time position where you will work 20 to 30 hours per week. There will be some flexibility in establishing the regular work hours. You will cross-train with other accounting functions to provide back-up or additional support as needed.What You'll Do

Prepare, record, verify, and post customer payments on a timely basis
Audit and complete journal entries, ensuring accurate reporting and coding to appropriate departments
Research customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of the other accounting staff
Maintain and update customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions
Adhere to accounts receivable policies and procedures, and ensure external and internal controls and policies are adhered to
Copy, file, and retrieve materials for accounts receivable as needed
Assist with other accounting projects and reports

What You'll BringRequired:

At least one year of previous bookkeeping, accounting, or other financial experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel, as well as other accounting software
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred:

Associate degree in Accounting is a plus

Compensation:

$20.00 to $25.00 per hour depending on experience and qualifications
