Accreditation, Patient Safety & Risk Manager
Make an impact by helping ensure the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance across University Health. In this role, you'll oversee patient safety and accreditation programs, support risk management efforts, and act as a resource for leaders, staff, and physicians. You'll coordinate accreditation surveys, investigate safety events, and drive performance improvement to strengthen our culture of safety.
What You'll Do:
Lead accreditation, certification, and survey readiness efforts
Investigate patient safety and risk-related events and recommend improvements
Support compliance with standards and regulations while promoting a Just Culture environment
Provide education, consultation, and resources for leaders, staff, and medical teams
Facilitate root cause analyses, risk assessments (FMEA), and quality improvement projects
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's in nursing, allied health, or related field (Master's preferred)
5+ years hospital healthcare experience OR bachelor's with equivalent experience
Risk Management, Quality, or Patient Safety Certification (or ability to obtain within 18 months)
Strong critical thinking, communication, and leadership skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
Preferred:
Master's degree, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, or supervisory experience
Experience with The Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies
