Esthetician Part-Time

The Esthetician will provide exceptional spa treatment experiences that are both relaxing, result driven and intentional to all guests, with the highest level of professionalism and hospitality; keeping guests informed of the treatment process and information about other related services offered in the spa.

Responsibilities

• Be able to perform all facials, enhancements, body services, and waxing offered on our menu as per protocols and standard operating procedures.

• Work well in a team setting while demonstrating self-motivation and discipline.

• Become knowledgeable of all products and services offered by the spa.

• Eagerly train on innovative new services.

• Communicate with a compassionate, empathetic, and positive demeanor.

• Show a strong commitment to providing exceptional treatments and guest experiences.

• Demonstrate respect, sensitivity and concern for guests needs with a professional and pleasant manner.

• Actively engage with guests regarding their service preferences and respond with care.

• Consult with guests about their medical history and any skin concerns in order to determine which service would be most beneficial.

• Be confident in retail selling abilities and provide knowledge to the guest for a home skin care routine.

• Prepare the treatment room with appropriate equipment, supplies and soft touches prior to each treatment.

• Properly open and close treatment room to standards.

• Follow all safety, sanitation, and hygienic procedures before, during and after services to ensure Board of Cosmetology Compliance.

• Assist with laundry and other housekeeping duties.

• Attend and participate in meetings, events, and training sessions.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current South Carolina Esthetics License

• An experienced and knowledgeable provider who maintains a high standard of professionalism and integrity.

• Someone who loves being a part of a team, detailed orientated and punctual.

• Have excellent hands-on techniques and draping standards.

• Willing to be trained to the spa operating standards and Charleston Place benchmark customer service standards.

• At least two years of professional Esthetic experience.

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

• Must be able to handle confidential information.

• Excellent communication skills

• Forbes service standard training preferred.

Skills

• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to lift, pull, and push a moderate weight (about 50 pounds)

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

• Ability to work effectively and relate well with senior management, colleagues, subordinates, and individuals inside and outside the hotel.

• Ability to ascertain guests'/employees' needs and comply with such to ensure guest/employee satisfaction.

Physical & Mental Requirements

• Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear; frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, feel and reach with hands and arms; frequently required to sit, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.

• Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move equipment, supplies, etc., more than 20 pounds.

• Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict, and make effective decisions under pressure.
