Job Description

QualDerm Partners is seeking a dedicated Dermatology Medical Assistant to join our exceptional team. In the role of a Dermatology Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting our healthcare team to provide top-quality patient care and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs and recording medical histories.
  • Assist the physician during examinations and procedures by ensuring all necessary instruments and equipment are ready.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records throughout the patient care process.
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow effectively.
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and skincare routines.
  • Ensure that examination rooms are clean, organized, and fully stocked with medical supplies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
  • Prior experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar clinical role is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, particularly dermatological terms.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for engaging with patients and team members.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in a busy healthcare environment.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and basic office software is advantageous.
