Starts at $22.62/hour

SUMMARY

Provide intake, case management, needs assessment, planning, coordination, and the delivery of services that support economic development and self-sufficiency activities for Tulsa Housing Authority (THA) residents. Identify barriers and offer programs which will enhance the quality of life and prepare residents to enter the work force, thereby breaking the cycle of poverty. Design, implement and facilitate programs (as assigned) related to self-sufficiency as well as basic needs, life skills, parenting, safety, mentoring, crime prevention and network with outside agencies to bring these topics to the residents. Design, implement and facilitate youth activities in the areas of education, social, and emotional development, cultural, and recreation activities. Such activities could include, but not limited to, computer skills, scholarship opportunities, scouting programs, monitoring and interacting with residents and children at various table games, sports leagues, arts & crafts, special contests, tournaments, and field trips. 

Requirements (Not an all inclusive list)

  • Valid Oklahoma driver's license, reliable transportation, and insurance coverage.
  • Bachelor's degree and 1-2 years related experience. Related experience can be work, volunteer, or internship experience in a social services field. Other combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Must be available to work M – F, 7:30am – 4:00pm

Who We Are

THA provides publicly assisted housing comprised of traditional public housing, mixed-finance sites, and housing vouchers. Currently, THA provides assistance to more than 20,000 individuals, or 7,200 families. THA is governed by a voluntary Board of Commissioners, each of whom is appointed by the Mayor of the City of Tulsa. The board employs THA’s President/CEO, who in turn employs the remainder of THA’s staff of approximately 200 team members.
