Job Description

FVI School of Nursing and Technology has a Part Time position for an Adjunct Practical Nursing Clinical Instructor.

This is an on site position at 7757 W Flagler St, Miami 33144.

This position is to be determined for either Friday, Saturday or Sunday from 7 AM to 7 PM.

This includes 10 hours of clinicals.

Student Success:

·       Provide direct clinical instruction to nursing students, ensuring safe and effective application of theory to practice.

·       Supervise students in clinical settings and evaluate clinical competencies in accordance with program standards and course objectives.

·       Reinforce professional behavior, clinical documentation accuracy, and patient safety.

·       Ensure students comply with clinical site policies, HIPAA, and infection control protocols.

·       Maintain clear communication with the Lead Instructor and/or Program Director regarding student progress or concerns.

·       Participate in orientation and calibration sessions as required to ensure alignment of clinical evaluation standards.

·       Performance Goal: Achieve ≥ 85% clinical competency success rate for assigned students per rotation.

Professionalism and Collaboration:

·       Demonstrate professionalism, punctuality, and accountability during all clinical rotations.

·       Maintain positive relationships with clinical site staff and foster FVI’s reputation for excellence.

·       Support the core values of the organization and model ethical conduct for students.

·       Communicate effectively and respectfully with students, faculty, and clinical partners.

Program and Academic Support:

·       Participate in scheduled faculty meetings, evaluations, and professional development as required.

·       Collaborate with the Program Director to identify areas of improvement in clinical education and contribute to program updates.

·       Support compliance with accreditation standards (CIE, COE) regarding clinical education and documentation.

Student Retention and Success Support:

  • Identify students requiring remediation or additional support and communicate findings promptly to the Program Director.

·       Encourage professionalism, attendance, and student engagement in all assigned clinical experiences.

Business Leadership:

  • Promotes the core values of the business and demonstrates the core values through action

Requirements

MUST HAVE ACTIVE RN LICENSE IN STATE OF FLORIDA

MUST HAVE 3 PLUS YEARS OF EXPERIENCE AS AN INSTRUCTOR
