Job Description
Job Title: Adjunct Teaching- Spanish and Portuguese- PORT 321, 322, 330, 355 (Day and Evening)

Position Start Date: January 2, 2026
Required Degree: Master's Degree in Portuguese Literature, Language, Culture, or related field. The required degree must be completed by the start date.
Experience:
Professional experience in teaching Portuguese and near-native fluency in written and spoken Portuguese are required. Experience teaching at the university level is preferred. Familiarity/skill with online teaching and/or technology is a plus.
Duties/Expectations:
The successful candidate will teach from 1 to 3 third-year undergraduate Portuguese courses (PORT 321, 322, 330, 355) that balance emphasis on Portuguese language (321, 322) and its related literatures and cultures (330, 355).
This position requires the adjunct faculty member to hold office hours to meet with students and to be available via email to communicate with students, faculty, and office staff.
Other duties may include but are not limited to attending meetings and trainings with the coordinator of third-year instruction, participating in professional development, and any other important events that require the assistance of the adjunct instructor.
Participation in the annual Foreign Language Fair is required.
