Position Description:

The University of Louisville School of Dentistry is seeking an Administrative Assistant II (Dental Implant Coordinator) to support the Graduate Oral Surgery and General Practice Residency programs dental clinic located in the UofL Health Jackson Street Outpatient Center, 550 South Jackson Street, Louisville, KY 40202. This position will be responsible for tracking the comprehensive and timely care of the implant patient from the time of initial consultation to the scheduling and follow up to surgery.  This candidate will efficiently organize, maintain and support the process of Implant Dentistry and coordinate all implant consultations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Discuss financial matters and check insurance benefits as necessary. 

  • Maintain inventory and all orders required for the implant surgery. 

  • Maintaining all equipment and implants kits.

  • Schedule all implant surgery appointments and follow up appointments.

  • Enter all charges for implant surgeries. 

  • Notify the General Dentist of implant completion.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two or more years of experience in an oral surgery office

  • Knowledge of dental implants

  • Knowledge of medical insurance

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Target Compensation Maximum:

$25.39

Target Compensation Minimum:

$16.93

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
