Adventureland Park - Food & Beverage Supervisor

Supervisory Duties:

• Supervise the daily operations of theF&Bteam and any other assigned departments

• Lead by example, attitude, and as a representation ofAdventurelandscore values

• Act as an approachable mentor and coach to all assignedhosts

• Becomeknowledgeable ofperforming the essential duties of allassigned F&Bpositions and backfill thesepositions when needed

• Participate inall aspects of supervision of assignedhosts, includinghiring,orientation, training, performance coaching, and discipline.

• Ensure that all requiredmealand other breaks are being givenin accordance withIowalaw

• Assistwith team scheduling and timekeeping activities

Departmental Duties:

• Welcomeallguests with a smile andpositiveattitude!

• Performs opening and closing procedures of assigned unit(s) including food preparation and cleanup. 

• Practices,teachesand enforces proper food safety guidelines adhering to company policy andstate/local Health Department requirements. 

• Maintains all alcohol safety practices when applicable.  

• Maintains compliance with company and industry best practices, policies, and procedures to create a safe environment for colleagues and guests.

• Handles and resolvesescalated guest concerns and criticisms with a positive attitude to deescalate.

• Oversees quality controls and production of food items.

• Manages inventory, focusing onportionand waste controls.  

• Interfaces with warehouseon productand supply needs.  

• Interfaces with maintenance on all equipment or physical plant needs.

• All other duties assigned by leadership.

Education and Experience:

• No education requirements for thisposition

• 1+ years ofpreviouswork experience in food service, quick service, or restaurant setting

• 1+previoussupervisory experience a plus, preferably in a food or restaurant settingPrevious amusement park, theme park, or waterpark experience a plus

Language:Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.

• Musthave reliable transportation to and from your scheduled shift

• Mustpossessexceptional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional manner

• Must be able to speak with guests directly when other F&B leadership is not present

• Ability to handle high-pressure situations, meet the demands of constantdeadlinesand coordinate multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

• Mustpossessstrong written and verbal communication skills

• Mustpossessstrong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

• Previousexperience with Point of Sale (POS) technology and PCI compliance a plus

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for majority of the workday

• Ability to occasionally stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shoulders

• Ability to withstand heat and humidity from the food preparation equipment

• Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objectsweighing 30pounds or more

Working Conditions:

• This role will be based in one or more food stall and/or restaurant locations throughoutthe park, with exposure to both indoor and outdoor environments

• Subject to frequent interruptions and requests that may require reprioritization of activities

• Frequent exposure to the variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, snow, ice, and other weather conditions

• Subject to constant repetitive motion, highnoise levels, andheavily populated environments
