Job Description

Status: Full Time Hourly

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

Summary of the Position: Hourly, Full-Time position serving youth and families throughout Delaware are available.

  • Applicant must be dependable, committed, and able to serve as a positive role model for youth in the community, school, and home settings.
  • The Primary responsibilities of the Advocate are to initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participant and their families.
  • All service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wrap around model.
  • This position offers flexible hours, competitive weekly pay, and activity reimbursement

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Experience in community work and knowledge of community resources
  • Experience working with at-risk youth
  • Proficient computer skills; experience using an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance coverage is required. (must be able to provide an auto insurance declaration document)
  • Travel will be part of the position (Travel within local county and community to homes and school)
  • Bi-Lingual(Spanish Speaking) is a plus.
  • Flexible hours; non-traditional hours; may require some evenings and weekends.
