Job Description
What you will be doing:
As a Procurement Specialist you will play a critical role in supporting and optimizing our procurement processes. You will be responsible for assisting with software and service purchases, reviewing and negotiating contracts, and ensuring cost-effective vendor relationships while gaining exposure to procurement best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in reviewing, negotiating and executing vendor contracts, ensuring optimal pricing, terms, and risk mitigation while meeting business needs and ensuring stakeholder satisfaction
- Manage and optimize procurement processes and tools, including SaaS management, procure-to-pay systems, ERP, and other related platforms.
- Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to optimize costs, ensure service level compliance, and support business units.
- Assist internal teams with purchase requisitions, procurement process navigation, RFP/RFQ execution, approvals, and contract documentation.
- Support budget management across departments, ensuring alignment with company financial objectives.
- Enforce procurement policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with company guidelines and industry best practices.
- Monitor supplier performance, ensure contractual obligations are met, and drive vendor performance reviews.
- Support initiatives for cost savings, process improvements, and strategic sourcing initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Procurement experience is a plus, preferably in a software or technology-driven company.
- Interest in learning software/SaaS procurement and managing vendor relationships in the technology space.
- Ability to learn and deploy strong contract negotiation skills for software, professional services, and business support functions.
- Familiarity with procurement systems (ERP, procure-to-pay platforms, SaaS management tools). Netsuite, Zip or Brex experience is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to analyze data to support cost optimization.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with finance, legal, IT, and business stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present data-driven insights.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
