Job Description

Reports To: Controller

Location: Headquarters

Summary: Provides administrative support of Finance functions. Maintains strict confidentiality and integrity of finance information.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

include the following:

  • Reviews expense reports, freight invoices and other vendor invoices for accuracy and enters them on accounts payable;
  • Assists accounts payable team with check/ACH process by matching invoices to checks in preparation for check signers to review;
  • Support payables processes by organizing checks for mailing; attaches related documentation to check to invoices;
  • Administrative support for accounts payable, including invoice printing, record keeping, organizing and filing all payments, and moving older payments to storage as appropriate;
  • Supports accounts receivable by reviewing and releasing South division pricing holds;
  • Creates A/R credit memos;
  • Enters Mack South credits into XA system;
  • Maintains master price list for Mack South.
  • Supports Mack South AR billing;
  • Learns various jobs within department in order to provide backup.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university; plus one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software, Spreadsheet software, Microsoft Access, Agile, and XA.
