Job Description

Job Summary:

The Oil and Gas Engineering Technician supports engineering and field operations in the drilling, completion, workover and processing of oil and gas. This role ensures accurate source data, repository data quality and resultant schematics and well history records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide/support data standards for drilling, completion, and other well life cycle work including casing, perforation, stimulation, workover and plugging activity.
  • Collect/store field data such as pressure, temperature, and downhole conditions
  • Create/update technical data, schematics, and maintenance records
  • Prepare/review reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitor completion/workover activity reporting to ensure alignment to company data requirements and standards
  • Work closely with field source data reporters in daily well data capture requirements
  • Support post-job data evaluation

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in oil and gas operations with emphasis in completion and well services
  • Strong understanding of oil and gas industry language, life cycle well operations, and surface facilities
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of wellbore architecture and downhole tools
  • Proficiency with well data software and data analysis tools (e.g., WellView, Carte) as well as MicroSoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
