Job Overview:
The childcare teacher is a member of the teaching team who shares responsibility with the assistant teacher for the care and education of an assigned group of children. The childcare teacher is responsible for implementing Teaching Strategies Smart Teach along with its system of assessment and documentation; supervising children; communicating with parents; providing a healthy and safe environment for children that encourages social emotional, physical, cognitive and language development based on the Reggio Approach. The childcare teacher is responsible for completing all necessary documentation for NAEYC Accreditation.

- To ensure a well-run, purposeful program responsive to participant needs

Required Certification/License/Experience:
- Must have a CDA and be working toward an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education.
- Must acquire 20 hours of professional development annually.
Preferred Certification/License/Experience:
- Current CPR/First Aid certification and NAEYC Membership preferred.
