Job Summary:

The School of Mental & Behavioral Health at Regis University is seeking Affiliate Faculty members to teach classes in the Marriage and Family Therapy program on an as-needed basis for the '25-'26 academic year. Affiliate Faculty are contracted per course and degree programs are delivered in full semester, 7 week accelerated, and weekend intensive formats.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Teaching these courses requires student preparation and work outside of the formal classroom environment. Classes are small, ranging from 8 to 18 students, so students can interact and receive personalized attention. Affiliate teaching assignments are not guaranteed but are assigned on the basis of departmental and university requirements. Individual contracts are given per course for these assignments. Continued teaching contracts are not guaranteed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related mental health profession;

  • Significant work experience in fields related to the courses they are credentialed to teach

  • A strong identity as a Couple/Marriage and Family Therapist

  • A current mental health license in the state of Colorado

  • Must be an AAMFT Approved Supervisor or AAMFT Approved Supervisor Candidate to teach any clinical courses in the program.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ph.D in Marriage and Family Therapy from a COAMFTE accredited program; -Past graduate level teaching experience

  • Willingness to learn and associate with Jesuit principles of pedagogy

  • Experience in teaching Cultural Issues, Ethics and Legal Issues, MFT Theories, and Diagnosis and Assessment.

This position is benefits-eligible for workers’ compensation and will receive 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.

Pay Rate:

Master’s Degree - $3,750 per course contract; Doctoral Degree - $4,200 per course contract
