Role: Support Teacher and Vehicle Driver at Primrose School of Fleming Island - 2031 Town Center Blvd. Fleming Island, FL 32003Calling All Passionate Individuals: Be a part of the Beginning of Something Big!
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who can work Mon-Fri in the afternoons at our Preschool to support planned classroom activities and be a PT minibus driver to pick up elementary students. This is a great job for someone who doesn't want to work nights or weekends.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Is responsible for the overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children with another teacher.
- Observes all rules and regulations at Primrose School of/at (school name) and the local, state or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety and care of children.
- Implements the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum and programming.
- Maintains an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence.
- Provides verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing clear and consistent expectations for the children's behavior.
- Accepts responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas and playgrounds.
Desired skills and experience:
- Must be at least 21 years of age, with a clean driving record and pass a driving test. This is a 14 passenger mini bus - no special license is required.
- No experience necessary but must be willing to start DCF training upon starting
- Passion for spending time with young children
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
