Compensation
Hourly base pay rate is $23.65 - $35.48/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Position Overview
Cox Automotive is seeking a dynamic Future of Work AI Innovation Intern to join our People Solutions Operations team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of work through artificial intelligence. This is not your typical internship—you'll work directly on strategic initiatives that are transforming how our 27,000+ employees experience work, while gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge AI technologies and enterprise transformation.Working under the VP of People Solutions Operations, you'll support strategic AI initiatives, system implementations, and organizational transformation efforts. This role offers exceptional exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to deliver measurable impact on business-critical projects.
What You'll Do
Strategic AI Initiative Support
Contribute to Cox Automotive's AI strategy development, including data readiness assessments and technology integration planning Support the design and implementation of AI-enabled workflows across HR operations using platforms like Workday, UKG WorkforcePro, and ServiceNow Participate in the evaluation and piloting of intelligent automation tools, including Claude AI and other emerging technologies for employee servicesBusiness Process Innovation
Analyze current-state HR processes to identify opportunities for AI enhancement and automation Support the development of intelligent case routing systems for employee services Contribute to workflow redesign using human-centered design principlesData & Analytics
Assist in auditing enterprise data quality and accessibility for AI applications Support the development of success metrics and KPIs for AI implementations Contribute to quarterly reporting and analytics for transformation initiativesCross-Functional Collaboration
Work with teams across IT, HR Operations, Process Improvement, and business stakeholders Support change management efforts for major system implementations Present findings and recommendations to senior leadershipStrategic Projects
Lead or support 1-2 strategic projects with measurable business impact Document best practices and lessons learned for scaling AI applications Contribute to the development of AI literacy programs across the organizationWhat We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
Rising senior undergraduate or graduate student graduating December 2026 or May/June 2027 Strong academic performance in relevant disciplines Demonstrated interest in AI/ML, digital transformation, or organizational innovation Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities Strong communication and presentation skillsPreferred Academic Backgrounds

Intern/Co-Op sessions are considered temporary employment. No full-time employment commitments are made. However, depending on our business needs, some interns may be considered for a full-time position following the conclusion of the session conditioned upon the intern graduating from their academic program and being available to commence full-time employment at a specified time.
