Position
We are seeking a motivated Associate Software Engineer with some experience in Matlab/Simulink algorithm development to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a foundation in model-based development and simulation, with an interest in developing, testing and integrating for Embedded systems. You will assist in developing novel algorithms that improves the performance, reliability and efficiency of advanced control and monitoring systems, collaborating with senior engineers and gaining hands-on experience throughout the process.

Responsibilities
Support the development and integration of signal processing and control algorithms using MATLAB/Simulink for measurement filtering, fault detection and system optimization.
Assist in model-based design and validation of signal processing and control algorithms using simulation tools such as Simulink, Simscape and Stateflow.
Help develop and maintain library blocks for signal processing and control applications.
Contribute to requirements capture and architecture design.
Assist with workflow automation in productionisation of controls algorithms and software functions for automation and monitoring systems.
Support in testing of developed software solutions for assigned projects (SIL, MIL).
Collaborate within a team in an agile manner, learning from senior engineers and contributing to project goals.
Engage in continuous learning about signal processing, simulation tools and algorithm development methodologies.
Qualifications
University degree or equivalent in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Control Engineering, Applied Physics or equivalent.
Some experience in software development (academic or project experience acceptable).
Familiarity with Matlab, Simulink and Simscape.
Exposure to MIL and SIL testing (academic or project experience acceptable).
Interest in developing controls algorithms and software architectures.
Preferred Qualification
Exposure to software-in-the-loop (SIL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing environments for grid and transmission systems.
Practical use of IEC/IEEE grid standards, automotive standards or other relevant industry standards.
Experience in working with agile development methodologies (academic or project experience acceptable).
Familiarity with Python, C/C++, or other programming languages used in embedded systems development.
Project or internship experience in grid simulation, BMS or control systems for power transmission and distribution networks is a plus.
