Job Description

FLSMIDTH in South Sioux City NE is currently seeking an Alignment Equipment Coordinator to add to our team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Promote a "safety first" culture by active participation at safety toolbox meetings, continuous evaluation of work site for potential hazards or unsafe actions, use Personal Protective Equipment "PPE" appropriate to the site or work to be performed and report near misses, accidents or injuries (no matter the severity) and identify unsafe equipment/work per company guidelines or procedures
  • To ensure alignment equipment is well maintained resulting in optimum performance in the field.
  • Perform calibration of Alignment Equipment before shipping to site.
  • To ensure alignment equipment maintenance costs are at or below targets while maintaining a high standard of quality in our equipment
  • Making sure that the correct alignment equipment is on site for every job performed by the alignment department
  • Shipping/logistics of all alignment equipment and spare parts, all ovality beams and spare parts
  • Coordinating of repair and manufacturing of alignment equipment and parts by outside vendors, when the equipment cannot be repaired or manufactured in house
  • Determining what equipment, parts and supplies need to be purchased for efficient operating of the alignment department
  • Keeping a schedule for all the sets of alignment equipment. This schedule will show where all sets of alignment equipment are located and will contain shipping information (where the equipment was shipped from and where it will be shipped to)
  • Provide liaison between the department manager, shop manager, Project Manager and field crews for all equipment related issues.
  • To support the alignment equipment for all of FLSmidth remote offices and partnership companies
  • Maintaining the inventory of alignment equipment, ovality beams and spare parts.
  • Keeping a complete, updated inventory of all alignment equipment, ovality beams and associated spare parts.
  • Organizing the alignment shop equipment and parts in a neat, orderly and efficient fashion.
  • Keeping maintenance & calibration records for each set of alignment equipment and determining how much equipment each alignment department field supervisor damages or loses
  • Preparing all customs papers and commercial invoices for all shipments that are sent to countries outside the USA.
  • Defining the standard equipment required for each set of alignment equipment and a standard list of required spare parts
  • Management of the manufacture and delivery of Ovality Beams
  • Management of the manufacture and delivery of Thrust Monitor Systems
  • Adhere to company policies, work procedures, guidelines and job site analysis'
  • Visit job sites to understand the equipment usage and its maintenance.
  • Perform special assignments and additional tasks as assigned.
  • Record and maintain equipment based on Equipment Status Report.
  • Manufacture parts as needed for the Alignment shop inventory.

This is a full time position, Monday-Friday 7:30-4:30. We also provide a great benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K Match, PTO and 10 Paid Holidays.
