Job Summary

Join Mass Eye and Ear's Anesthesia Department, comprised of 6 full-time Anesthesia Techs, 30+ Anesthesiologists, 30+ CRNAs, and 10 Nurse Practitioners. This collaborative team is a wonderful place to work and learn.

Qualifications

Anesthesia Technician Co-op Responsibilities

Performs routine duties to assist the professional nursing and medical staff. Assists Anesthesiologists by setting-up equipment and preparing medications. Orders, stocks, tests, and maintains anesthesia supplies, medications, and equipment. Washes and sterilizes re-usable equipment and reports malfunctioning equipment to appropriate personnel.

Role Functions

• Transports and distributes anesthetic equipment in surgical suites.
• Troubleshoots equipment during operative procedures and makes appropriate replacements when necessary.
• Prepares equipment and assists with invasive monitoring procedures.
• Cleans and maintains anesthesia equipment, machines and carts.
• Cleans, maintains and orders anesthesia supplies.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
