Job Description

This is an opportunity to Intern to learn with a 40+veteran in the field.

This position is right for you if you are self-motivated, have a knack for troubleshooting, and are able to manage time to effectively meet deadlines. Ideally, you have proven communication skills with supervisors, employees, and customers.At the conclusion of the 600hr internship, there is an opportunity to apply for a technician spot

Specific Learning Outcomes

Install home appliances/equipment
Work with HVAC equipment
diagnose and repair appliances/equipment in the customer's home
Complete invoices, daily route sheets, and weekly reports
customer service excellences

Job Requirements:

High school graduate or equivalent
Valid Driver's License with a clean record
Must be at least 18 years of age
engage in available learning activities
The ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis, and up to 100 pounds on an occasional basis without assistance and the physical ability to perform strenuous work under varied circumstances
Flexible and variable hours
EPA certification

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Compensation: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

As an appliance repair technician, you’ll work with anything from dishwashers to microwaves to dryers. In other words, you’ll need to be fairly knowledgeable about large appliances, portable appliances, mechanical work, as well as electrical work.

You’ll deal with more than just appliances, though, as a repair technician, you’ll have to deal with people, too.

Appliance repair technicians must also have skills in high mechanical aptitude, have impeccable written and verbal communication skills, work adeptly with repair tools, be okay with lifting heavy machinery, and of course, be incredibly skilled in troubleshooting problems.
