Job Description:

The University of Northern Iowa's Department of Construction Management seeks applications for a part time, temporary Assistant Adjunct Professor, starting on August 25, 2025. The position will teach Construction Law and the course will be taught in person at UNI's main campus in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field or a Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; at least 10 years of United States construction industry experience in the area of construction engineering, construction management or civil engineering or related field or at least 10 years of practice as an attorney in the United States; effective organizational, communication and interpersonal skills; enthusiasm for and commitment to engaged/applied learning and teaching; and willingness to develop partnerships with local, regional and national construction-related businesses and organizations required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's or terminal degree from an accredited university in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field; and previous teaching experience at the university or community college level preferred.
