- Provide a positive attitude, image, and safe culture to customers and peers through exceptional and courteous customer service.
- Follow the safety guidelines and programs established by CPI and complete safety reports and required records.
- Provide effective leadership to all team members through mentoring and coaching.
- Build solid, positive, relationships with all team members (e.g. managers, clerks, and vendors).
- Oversee assigned store personnel training and development to assure tasks are performed properly and safely.
- Assists Operations and Store Managers in the following:
- Promotion and sale of CPI’s products or services performed, developing new markets, increasing market share, and obtaining a competitive position in the industry.
- Creation, implementation, and maintaining of procedures.
- Standardize procedures, recommend changes and initiate improvements.
- Support financial management, store maintenance, and company initiatives.
- Collaborate with Store Managers to improve processes with innovative, out-of-the-box thinking.
- Review financial statements and provide opportunities for improvement.
- Observe and recommend changes to increase efficiency in department or employee labor.
- Assist in resolving work-related issues/concerns.
- Travel to assigned convenience stores as needed.
- High School Diploma, General Education Degree (GED), or related experience and/or training. Minimum 2 years of convenience store management experience and/or training.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Proficient knowledge of business computer skills (Microsoft Office, accounting, and CPI internal programs).
- Strong business acumen abilities: time management, planning, organization, and decision-making skills.
- Works well independently or in a team environment.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations.
- Ability to sit at a computer for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
- Excellent problem-solving and creative skills.
- Motivated, energetic, driven work ethic.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Basic accounting knowledge preferred.
- Associate’s degree preferred.
